Dorothy Mae Watson Joshua , 81, departed this life on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Kinder Retirement and Rehabilation Center in Kinder, LA.  She was born April 10, 1940, to Willie Watson and Virgie Lewis Watson in Fenton, LA.  She was a homemaker and loved visiting with her children, grandchildren and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories her four daughters, Towashai Hasty of Scott, LA, Kizzy Fontenot of Crosby, TX, Alexis Fontenot and Alexa Fontenot both of Sulphur, LA; two brothers, Clyde and Kulon Watson; one sister, Rosa Lee Christopher; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wille and Virgie Watson, her husband, Edward Joshua, longtime companion Nelson Calais, several siblings, and one grandson, Brayden Alfred.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Farquhar Cemetery in Sulphur, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
