Dorothy Mae Singleton , 88, departed this life on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at her residence in Iowa, LA.  She was born January 24, 1934, to Paul Simien, Sr., and Bertha Landrio Simien in Palmetto, LA.  She was a faithful member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake, LA.  She was a homemaker and loved visiting with her family of four generations.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Larry Singleton, Ronald Singleton, Sr. (Cynthia), Shirley Singleton Williams (Richard), Sharon Singleton Boxie all of Iowa, LA and Donald Singleton (Cynthia) of Westlake, LA; six sisters, Lucenda Mack of Willis, Tx, Majesta LeDee of New Iberia, LA, Mildred LeDee of Lawtell, LA, Lucy Chenevert of Arnaudville, LA, Debra Sue Onezine of Houston, TX and Judy Livings of Houston, TX;  two brothers, Francis Simien, Sr., of Lawtell, LA and Roger Simien of LeBeau, LA; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Simien, Sr., and Bertha Simien; her husband, Herman Singleton, Sr., one daughter, Sheila Marie Singleton Brown and one son, Herman Singleton, Jr., and one great grandson, Hayden Malbrough.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022,  9:00 a.m., Rosary at 10:30 a.m., and funeral service, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake, LA.  Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
