Dorothy Mae Reeves Wright , 73, departed this life on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at her home in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born May 27, 1949, to Ernest Guillory, Sr., and Joyce Thomas in Oberlin, LA.  She worked as the food service manager at Oberlin High School for many years.  She loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Willie Wright of Lake Charles, LA; her children, McKevin Reeves, (Tiffany), Brian Reeves (Dionysia),  and William Reeves all of Lake Charles, LA, LaShandette Wright, LaShundria Wright and Shadrick Wright all of Atlanta, GA, daughter-in-law, Sheila Reeves; her siblings, Eva Clophus (Murphy) of Fenton, LA, Mary Wright (Randy) of Baytown, TX, Helen Goffney (Greg) of Sulphur, LA, Walter Lavan (Sandy) of Baton Rouge, LA, Ausino Lavan (Mary) of Baytown, TX, Robert Lavan (Kelly) of Baytown, TX, Darrell Lavan (Clara) of DeQuincy, LA, Raymond Lavan (Lisa) of Baytown, TX; David Lavan of Hitchcock, TX and  Jennifer Guillory of Sulphur, LA; sister-in-law, Theresa Guillory of Houston, TX; 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Guillory, Sr., and Joyce Thomas; former husband, Bishop Eugene Reeves; one son, Reginald Eugene Reeves; three brothers, Roland Guillory, Ernest Guillory, Jr., and Russell Guillory and one sister, Georgiana Lister.

A wake service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., at True Faith Pentecostal Church, 616 8 ^th Street, Oberlin, LA. On Saturday, November 19, 2022, visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Faith Temple COGIC 3800 Hodges Street, Lake Charles, LA.  On Monday, November 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., burial will be in SWLA Veterans Cemetery, Jennings, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
