Dwight Steven Dartez, 79, departed this life on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  He was born August 7, 1945, to Leford Dartez and Georgia Dartez in Lake Charles, LA.  He worked as an auto mechanic and loved turning wrenches.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Shawn Dartez (Melissa) of Moss Bluff, Stephanie Lee (Justin) of Baton Rouge, Stewart Dartez (Erin) and Steve Ledoux (Michelle) both of Moss Bluff; his siblings, Shirleen Gill of Lake Charles, Claudia Amorsen (Arne) of Mesa, AZ, Roger Dale and John Louis Dartez of Lake Charles, Elaine LeBert of Moss Bluff, Margaret Dartez of Lake Charles, Mary Wolf (Tony) of Carrier, MS, Mark Dartez (Kathy), Kyle Dartez both of Lake Charles and Sherry Glass, mother of his children; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Dustin, Skyler, Danner and Mackenzie Dartez and Emberly, Arnold and Zachery LeDoux; three great grandchildren, Zoey, Daxton and Declan Arnold.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leford and Georgia Dartez and his wife, Charlene Dartez.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
