Earl "Topcat" David Robinson III went to his heavenly home on Monday, January 7, 2013. Early David Robinson III was born on July 30, 1957 in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Mildred Marie George Robinson and Earl R. Robinson, Jr. Topcat had a merry heart and enjoyed listening to music and being outdoors. He spent a lot of time in his Cadillac riding around town.
Cooking was his specialty. He worked at Mazen Restaurant for 15 years as a 'Head Chef' until he became ill. When he barbecued, he would cook various wild animals using different sauces. He created events where he could eat and spend time with his family and friends.
Around town, he was known as the 'Ladies Man' who never married. However, he had a special love in Rose Williams Johnson who passed away July 7, 2006 after a twenty year relationship. Later, he met Ms. Dearia Miller who he came to cherish during the time they were together.
Earl David father Latasha Gray and Julia Holmes and was the grandfather to A'lakea, A'monte and I'monia Gray, also Peaches and Precious Collins.
He preceded in death by his mother Mildred Robinson; brother Curtis Robinson and former companion Rose Mary 'Rosie' Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his two daughters, Latasha Gray and Julia Holmes; two sisters, Joann (James) Francis and Rebecca (Alhaji) Tarawally of Miramar, Florida; three brothers, Charles Robinson, Harold St. John Robinson and Alvin Robinson of Beaumont, Texas. Present fiancé Dearia Miller as well as many nieces and nephew.
