Eddie "Big Eddie" Ledet Sr. was born on Feb. 26, 1946 to the late Kelly and Clamonce Ledet. On Friday, May 4, 2012 Eddie departed this life. Eddie retired from BFI as a truck driver after many years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather that had a funny sense of humor. He also enjoyed hunting, cooking, and gardening. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Rideaux, Phillip Ledet, and Kathleena Boutte. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years; Ellen Ann Young-Ledet, his daughter; Marianna (Terrell) Malveaux, two sons; Eddie (Daonne) Ledet Jr., and Joseph Ledet, seven grandchildren; T.J., Daize, John Morgan, Tabatha, Ellen Marie, Joseph Jr., and Latrace, five sisters; Barbara (Kermit) Nero, Joann Cooks, Priscilla (William Duhon) Ledet, Cynthia Ledet, and Sylvia (Oscar) Ledet-Goody, four brothers; Kelly (Agnes Derouen) Ledet Jr., Nathaniel (Jacklyn) Ledet Sr., Gerard (Amelia) Ledet, and Michael (Sarah) Ledet. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
