Edgar Charles, Jr., 62, departed this life on Saturday, October 19, 2019, in Starks, LA. He was born April 1, 1957, to Edgar Charles, Jr., and Ledoshia Holliman Charles in DeQuincy, LA.  He worked in construction and was self-employed.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three brothers, Louis Holliman of Houston, TX, Clarence Charles of Lake Charles, LA, and Doulee Charles of Starks, LA; six sisters, Vira Lee Morgan (William) of Easly, SC, Helen Joyce Whiteside (Harold) of Inglewood, CA, Inez Moreland (Prescott) of Arkansas, Rose M. Harris of Littlerock, AK, Linda Achan and Betty Charles both of Lafayette, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Charles, Sr., and Ledoshia Charles; one brother, Larry Holliman and one sister, Wanda Faye Charles.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service at 12:00 p.m., at First Community Baptist Church, Starks, LA, Bro. Ron Butler, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Community Cemetery in Starks, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
