Edith Marie Richardson, "Duck", 68, departed this life on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in Monroeville, AL.  She was born November 11, 1954 to Robert Bartie, Sr., and Angelina West Bartie in Cameron, LA.  She worked at Brown's Grocery for many years in Cameron, LA.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Gene Richardson; her children, Stephenie Bellard, Earl Bellard, Jr., Reginal Bellard, Kevin Bartie and  her adopted child, Shaquille Guy; her siblings, Georgiana (Joseph) Ross, Mary (Leonard) Hagger, Lillian Redmond, Callern Jack, John (Vera) Bartie, Robert (Beverly) Bartie and Ebider Bartie; five grandchildren, Mor'Keith Bartie, Kor'tasia Mingo, Ji'lya Williams, Reginae Bellard and Jaterrian Chargois; one Godchild, Shantell Brooks, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Angeline Bartie and one brother, Herbert "Lee" Bartie.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., and funeral service at 1:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Orange Grove Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
