Edith Bellow Broussard Senega
l, 66, made her Heavenly transition on September 16, 2015 at her home in Jennings, Louisiana. Edith was born April 27, 1949 in Kinder, LA to the late Lydia Cole Bellow and Francis Bellow. She later attended & graduated in 1968 from Carver High School in Kinder, LA. After graduating she attended University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Louisiana Technical College-Morgan Smith Campus in Jennings. Edith was a very active member of her community and church organizations. She worked in the Jefferson Davis Parish Assessors Office for over 32 years. She was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for 40 plus years where she also served in the Third Degree Ladies Auxiliary and the Fourth Degree Ladies of Grace.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Bellow and Lydia Cole Bellow. Maternal and paternal grandparents, god-parents, her mother-in-law Lena Bernice Booth Broussard and one son Christopher Garcia Broussard.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Wilson J. Senegal, Jr. her son Ralph(Joyia) Broussard, Jr., her granddaughter Ariel MaryJane Broussard, her godchildren and her ex-husband Ralph Broussard, Sr. She also leaves four sisters, Orelia (Magdon) Lavergne, Regina Carrier, Lena (Madison, Sr.) Basile, of Lake Charles, LA and Harriet (Randy) Lawdins of Jennings; four brothers, Frank (Josie) Bellow, Francis (Sandra) Bellow, Larry (Ethel) Bellow, and Hal Bellow, all of Lake Charles, LA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation & Services will be held, Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings located at 920 S. Broadway St. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 9am-11am. Rosary will begin at 10 am, with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11am. Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Jennings Funeral Services Entrusted to King's Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Per Edith's request Mass of Christian Burial will be directed by her son Ralph Broussard, Jr., her daughter-in-law Joyia L. Broussard and her granddaughter Ariel MaryJane Broussard.
