On Saturday, February 1, 2014, Edna Mae Bushnell Odom departed this life at the age of 75 in Lake Charles, La. She was born Edna Mae Bushnell on October 20, 1938 to Vanderbilt and Cynthia Melodie (DeJean) Bushnell in Elton, LA. She resided in Southern CA and Seattle, WA. before returning to Lake Charles, LA. She was fun-loving with a smile that would warm your heart. Despite life's obstacles she maintained her spirited and cheery outlook. She leaves to mourn one daughter, Karen (Ronald Bruce) Kelly of Huntington Beach, CA, one son Eric (Tamarsha) Pete of Spring, TX, and one brother, Gerald (Florence) Bushnell of Carson, CA, two grandchildren; Daniel Kelly of Huntington Beach, CA. and Chelsea Pete of Spring,TX. Many dear friends were touched by Edna and grieve her loss as well. She was preceded in death by her parents; Vanderbilt and Cynthia Melodie Bushnell as well as her siblings; Anna Belle Bushnell, Adam Bushnell, Vera Guillory, Lois Robertson, John Bushnell, Percy Bushnell, Sara Jaubert, Elma Spooner and Evana Victorian.
