IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth Ann
Jones
August 22, 1962 – June 12, 2025
"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21
On Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:18am, Elizabeth Ann Lewis Jones gained eternal life with her Lord and Savior. She was born on August 22, 1962, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnny (Ruby) Lewis in Lake Charles, Louisiana. On April 7, 1990, she was united in matrimony to Ronald Joseph Jones and from that union they were blessed with one son, Branlyn Donta' Jones.
Elizabeth grew up a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Lake Charles, LA. At the time of her death, she was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church, Houston, TX. She was a graduate of McNeese State University and Marion High School where she had many fond memories of playing in the band.
Elizabeth was a kind, welcoming, gregarious, selfless woman of God. She was faithful and prayed without ceasing. She looked forward to her prayer calls with her family and often boasted of the goodness of the Lord. She worked in the banking industry for many years where she treated all her customers well and especially loved assisting and advising the elderly. She also loved mentoring others and watching them grow and succeed. More than anything else though, she loved her family; she was a loving wife and mother. She loved to take road trips with her husband and son, having Saturday sister calls and gathering with her extended family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 35 years, Ronald Jones of Houston, TX, her son, Branlyn Jones of Houston, TX, five sisters, Carolyn Stoner (Ricky), Bertha Jones, Therese Lewis, Johnnie Belle Chavis (Rellis) and Angela Guidry (Pat); four godchildren, Ricky Stoner, Stephanie Pappion, Shalon Jackson and Adriel Arredondo; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Ruby Lewis.
Her visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at King's Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7pm. A second visitation will be on Tuesday, 10am at the funeral home and the funeral Mass will be at 1:00pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
