Ellenor Marie Baker was born on August 7, 1933, to Rodney and Joicia Collins in Lake Arthur, LA.  She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School. She met and married Eligah Baker and to this union, four children were born.

She was a longtime member of Second Missionary Baptist Church of K, MO. She served as an usher and on the health board. Her favorite saying was "Jesus keep me near the Cross." She worked at St. Louis County Government Center in Clayton, MO, for 25 years where she retired. She was a very active member in the Berkeley community and was given the nickname "Ms. Berkeley".

Ellenor Baker leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Vanessa Harrison of Lake Charles, LA and Angela Wilson of St. Louis, MO; one son, Nathan Baker of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Clifford Collins Sr. (Anna) of Lake Charles, LA; one sister, Erma Lee Thomas of Lake Arthur, LA; 13 grandchildren, Nathan Wilson, Tj Baker, Erma Baker, Natalie Baker, Alicia York, Brittney Harrison, Tanisha Baker, Jocelyn Wilson, Janelle Harrison, Joycia Baker, Aurora Baker, DeAndre Dorsey and Nathan Baker Jr; 30 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Joicia Collins; one brother, Nathaniel Collins and one son Terrance Baker Sr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Zion Temple Baptist Church, Pastor Francis J. Davis, officiating. Burial will follow in Lake View Memorial Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
