February 22, 1948 – May 29, 2021
On Saturday the 29 th day of May, 2021, Elsee departed this life at the age of 73, in St. Patrick Hospital. He was born on February 22, 1948 in Mamou, Louisiana to the late Nolan Zackery and Rosa Bell Shillow Zackery. He worked at Carboline Industries for 35 years as an Operator. He later retired to do what he loved best which was spending time with family and friends and last but not least serving faithfully in the ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and volunteering his services to help others when his circumstance permitted. Elsee Zackery became a faithful and dedicated servant of Jehovah on June 8, 2008.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 54 years, Wilda Richardson Zackery; three sons, Bryan K. Zackery (Lillian) of Lake Charles, LA, Reginald Karone Zackery (Sylvia) of Lake Charles, LA, and Nolan Joseph Zackery of Lake Charles, LA. In addition, Elsee also leaves to mourn six siblings, Drucilla Zackery Arvie (Sherry) of Lake Charles, LA, C.L. Zackery (Yvonne) of Houston, Texas, Rose Marie Zackery George (Michael) of Pine Praire, LA, Sylvia Zackery of Mamou, LA, Tony Terry Zackery (Dianna) of Lake Charles, LA, and Jerome Zackery (Brenda) of Mamou, LA. Also, he has a host of loved and cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Elsee was preceded in death by both parents and his son Troy Bartholomew Zackery.
Visitation will be Private on Thursday June 3 , 2021, at King's Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service following on Sunday June 6, 2021, at 1:30 p.m., at the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses via Zoom.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
