Ernest Lee Bell , age 90, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2020. He was born October 5, 1929, in Cuba, Alabama to the late Jim and Margie Bell. He married his longtime love, Geraldine Bell, in August of 1974.

Ernest served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army for a combination of 8 years. For many years he worked as a mechanic, then owned and operated Independent Cab Company for 12 years. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

Ernest leaves to cherish his wife, of 45 years, Geraldine Bell; children, Jackie Garner of Dallas, TX, Frankie Bell, Vanessa (Glen) Rigmaiden, Craig Dudley, Lisa (Jessie) Hughes, Conya (LaShun) Bellard all of Lake Charles, LA and Chuntel (Damion) Middleton of Fresno, TX; one sister Della Terrell. Ernest loved his grandchildren and great children. He also had a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Margie Bell, siblings, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home, Rev. Lee Wilson, officiating. Burial will be on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., in Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Jennings, LA.
