Essie Mary Malveaux Galmore , 88, departed this life on Monday, October 3, 2016, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born on October 13, 1927, to the late John Allen Malveaux and Rosetta Guidry Malveaux in Eunice, LA.  She was a homemaker and a seamstress for many years before her retirement.

She leaves to cherish her memories six boys, Kenneth Galmore, Larry Galmore, Patrick (Barbara) Galmore, Peter (Velvet) Galmore, Tommy (Terrie) Galmore, and Stephon (Vanessa) Mitchell; two girls, Sylvia (Sidney) Stagg and Sheila Galmore; grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Galmore; her parents, John and Rosetta Malveaux; seven children, Theresa Mitchell, Ronald Galmore, Michael Galmore, Anthony Galmore, Belinda Galmore, Ruthie Galmore and Stephen Galmore.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. at Mill Street Church of Christ, 2318 Mill Street and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Burial will be at Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
