Mother Ethel Marie Dantley , 74, departed this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 11:58 a.m., in the comfort of her home. She was born December 28, 1942, to Lawrence and Batile Ozane in Bell City, LA.
She was a member of Holiness Unto the Lord, Pastor Milton Thomas of Eunice, LA, where she serves as Mother and a faithful member before moving back to Lake Charles, LA. She became a member of St. John Holiness under the leadership of Pastor Ronald J. Simien. On September 11, 2016, she was appointed Mother of St. John Holiness. She was a faithful and dedicated member for three years. She worked faithfully with the youth department and her specialty was cooking and baking pies. She served on the prison ministry for the CPSO; she was a servant to everyone. She loved God's people.
She leaves to cherish one daughter, Mary (Bobby) Brookins of Coolidge AZ; seven sons, Larry (Carol) Richard, Mitchell (Scherron) Richard of Forth Worth, TX; Nolan (Barbara) Richard, Edward Richard, Harry Richard, Lerron (Susan) Richard, Michael Richard of Lake Charles, LA; five sisters, Mildred Fontenot, Josephine (Ike) Celestine of Lake Charles, LA, Georgiona Simien of Kinder, LA, Lorraine and Rose Simien of Port Arthur, TX; three brothers, Rudolph (Vee) Ozane of Lake Charles, LA, Lawrence Ozane of Houston, TX, and Terry (Louanna) Ozane of Jacksonville, FL; 34 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mother Dantley will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Batile Ozane; her husband, Nolan Dantley and three brothers, George Ozane, Gene Ozane and Joe Ozane.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., and Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at Faith Temple COGIC, Pastor Ronald Simien officiating. Burial will be in Jerusalem Baptist Cemetery, Chataigner, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
