Evelina Milstead Guillory , 84, on Friday, February 10, 2017, surrounded by her family and friends at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, only one day after her 84th birthday, was welcomed into God's loving arms. She was born on February 9, 1933, as the third of seven children to the Late Jules and Mary Broussard Milstead in Mowata, La. She was affectionately, called 'Peedee' by family and close friends all her life. She was married to her one and only loving husband, the late Johnny Guillory Sr. for 55 years. From this union, they produced four successful and hardworking children.

She retired after 30 years from the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a nutritional cook, often kindly referred to as the "Cafeteria Lady". Spending most of her time at W.O. Boston High School, Ralph Wilson Elementary and several schools throughout the parish before retiring 20 plus years ago. She was a member of Reeves Temple CME and served on the Usher Board 50 plus years and the bereavement and kitchen ministry. She was also the Mother of Krewe Chetu Jadi and always cooked Mardi Gras Day Float Decorating Lunch.

Evelina leaves to cherish her precious memories, two sons, Eddie C. (Linda) Guillory of Baton Rouge, LA., Craig A. (Jacki Simien) Guillory of Lake Charles, LA; one daughter, Shelia (Michael P.) Jones of Lake Charles, one daughter-in-law, Sheryl Walls Guillory of Baton Rouge, LA; one great grandson, Dylan A. Guillory of Lake Charles, LA, (raised by great-grandparents) and niece, Carolyn Brady of Port Arthur, TX; two sisters, Annie Mae (Late Charlie) Guillory & Shirley (Late Joseph) LaVergne both of Port Arthur, TX; one brother, Dreyfus 'Mannyboy' (Diane) Milstead of Sacramento, CA; 11 grandchildren, Tuwanna (Todd) Guillory-August, April Guillory, Harry (Kia) Gordon, Sheara Emmone Guillory, Shondra Cutno, Dr. Latonya Guillory, Atria Jones Rudan, Jonathon Jones, JonMarie Guillory, Creighton Guillory and Carrington Guillory; 16 great grandchildren, Dylan A. Guillory, Maisyn Guillory, Darrien Guillory, Brittany Cutno, Kennedy Guillory, Kaleb Cutno, Tyler August, Ashlynn Guillory, Lindan Brown, Kendyl Gordon, Wm. Sebastien Eilers, Tori August, Kamryn Gordon, Noah Tunstall, Aidan Guillory and Karter Gordon and one great great grandchild, Jayden Guillory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Guillory, Sr.; one son, Johnny Guillory, Jr.; two sisters, Ida 'Dee' Sowers and Rosalee Williams; one brother, Jules 'Bubba Lee' Milstead Jr., and one great grandson Justin Guillory.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 12:00 p.m., at Reeves Temple CME, Rev. Dr. H. Leon Williams, Sr., officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
