Flossie Johnson, 94, departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 17, 2008 as the schedule God planned for her and then God whispered, well done my child, come on home. Flossie was born in Minden, Louisiana on September 6, 1913 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Albert Henry. Over the years, Flossie has lived in Zwolle, Deridder, and last Lake Charles, Louisiana. She raised her wonderful daughter, while cleaning houses and becoming a proud owner of her very own store.

As the years went on her family began to grow. It blossomed with 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She loved and cherished spending time with her family. She was always there to give Godly advice and guidance and always there to listen.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her companion, Lonnie Harris, daughter, Virginia Thomas Lazare, son-in-law, Joseph "Poo" Lazare, grandchildren: Tina and Malcolm "Lorenzo" Herron Sr., Tanya Lewis and Tramaine Nicholas, and Donald "D-J" and Donica Thomas Jr.; great-grandchildren: Mal-colm Herron Jr., Marcus and Malaiya Herron, Deondre Lewis, Kenneth "KB" Carrier, Makayla Thomas, and Destiny Nicholas, and a host of family and friends.

Flossie Johnson will be remembered as a loving and giving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.
