Frank Price
, 67, of Lake Charles, beloved father, grandfather, and uncle departed this life on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Christus St. Patrick's Hospital.
He was born on February 17, 1949 in Lake Charles to the late Soadella Rankins and the late Preston Price.
He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior many years ago.
He was united in holy matrimony to Linda Rougeau on August 21, 1966.
This union produced three children.
He remained married for 25 years.
He attended Washington High School.
After high school, he held several jobs before working as a parts manager at Dailey Equipment where he worked until becoming disabled.
He enjoyed watching T. D. Jakes, western movies and listening to jazz music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Soadella Rankins Price and Preston Price; his sister, Gertrude "Bay" Harris; his brothers, Eddie "Bud" Vital, Louis "Black Joe" Vital, George "Bee" Vital, Thomas "Tony" Vital, and Jimmy Vital.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children, and their partners, respectively:
Emile Price; Tammy (Victor Alex) Price; Nicholas (Kylie) Price; and Frankie (Franklin) Reed-Shaw; one sister, Marjorie "Della Marie" (Darryl) Dillard.
Also left to cherish his memories are 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, a host of nephews, 1 brother-in-law, 2 sister-in-laws, extended family and friends
The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to unit 31 nursing staff at Christus St. Patrick's Hospital and Amedisys Home Health and Hospice staff
for the compassionate and loving care given to our father, Frank Price.
A memorial service for Frank Price will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at King's Funeral Home.
Family hour will begin at 10AM in the chapel.
