Genevia Miller , 76, departed this life on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. She was born on December 6, 1941, to Rev. L.T. Thomas and Edmonia Guillory in New Orleans, LA. She was employed with the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a cafeteria tech at T. H. Watkins Elementary School until her retirement.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories to her stepmother, Evonne Thomas; her children, Clifton Green, Angelic Miller, Dasia Miller, Karen (Calvin) Sylvester, Abby (Larry) Rosamore, Verna(Jonathon) Ruffin, David Miller, Bernice Miller and Billy Miller; her siblings, Shirley (David) Dean, Betty (Bill) Harris of Lafayette, LA, Ronald Thomas of Mississippi, Patricia Johnson, Christina Thomas, Las Vegas, NV and Ariestelle Thomas of Shreveport, LA; her grandchildren, Crystal (Fred) Abraham and Clifton Charles and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. L.T. Thomas and Edmonia Guillory; her husband, William S. Miller; one brother, Arthur Bias; two daughters, Edmonia Diana Charles and Betty Jean Charles; two sisters, Alice Faye Stevens and Jeanette Martin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Refuge Temple Ministries, Bishop Leonard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
