George Dixon, Sr., 89, departed this life on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Resthaven Nursing Home in Lake Charles, LA.  He was born June 8, 1935, to Richmond and Bertha Washington Dixon in Eunice, LA.  He worked as an electrician at Local 872 in Tonopah, NV.  He loved playing dominoes, cards, dancing, listening to blues and christian music.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Joyce Simmons, Geraldine Dorsey, Betty Simien, Temply Leslie, Alvin Dixon, and Beatrice Marie Dixon; six brothers and three sisters and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends which he dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richmond and Bertha Dixon; his beloved wife, Walter Beatrice Cole Dixon and one son, George Dixon, Jr.
