Glenella Mae Malbrough , 59, departed this life on Friday, April 14, 2017, at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.  She was born September 13, 1957, to the late Alexis and Annie Bell Malbrough in Westlake, Louisiana. Glenella was the 8th child of 13 children born into this union.  She worked for Gulf Coast Hospital, San Jacinto Hospital and Bayshore Hospital where she started in housekeeping and worked her way up to central sterile processing. Her favorite pastimes were going to church, spending time with family and friends, and playing dominoes and cards.

Glenella leaves to cherish memories of her life, her children, Carey (Tammy), Timothy (Lucretia), and Joseph Jr. (Charmaine); grandchildren, Kheri "Pooh", Jaylen, Eric, Isaiah, Brianna, Jasmine, Tyler, and Demitri; siblings, Maxine Braxton, Viola Jack, Vera Carter, Don Malbrough Sr., Michael Malbrough Sr., John Malbrough, and Eric Malbrough; Godmother, Lillian Washington; special daughter, Janay Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexis and Annie Bell; sister, Ella Bee Martin; brothers, Alex, Clyde, Willie and John.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Chruch, Reverend Timothy Ceasar, officiating. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
