Glenneth Wayne Coleman, Sr., 65, departed this life on Monday, January 29, 2018, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. He was born on February 3, 1952, to Ollie and Leila Trahan Coleman in Fenton, LA. Glenneth was married to Mary L. Coleman of Lake Charles, LA. He worked at Citgo Petroleum for 32 years until his retirement. He also served as minister of music at Greater St. Joseph Baptist Church in Fenton, LA.
He leaves to cherish sweet memories to his children, Yolanda (Keri) Kokayi, Glenneth (Tynia) Coleman, Jr., and Lenneth D. Coleman; four siblings, Lester (Sybyl) Coleman, Dixie (Earnest) Doyle, Rose Goodwin and Leila Nell Artis; five grandchildren, Taj Kokayi, Ser Kokayi, Heiress Kokayi, Bethany Coleman and Bailey Coleman, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Leila Coleman; two brothers, Brady Coleman and Lenneth W. Coleman and two sisters, Shirley Alfred and Margaret Scott.
A wake and musical celebration will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., at Greater St. Joseph Baptist Church in Fenton, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 9:30 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Lake Charles, LA, Pastor Arnold Wykoff officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Fenton, LA under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
