She was born in Lake Charles, La on June 15, 1945 to Albert I. and Annie Mitchell. She married the late Willie M. Smith Sr. and is survived by five children, Cynthia D. Thibodeaux, Jacqueline M. Smith, Wendy L. Smith, Willie (Toni) Smith II of Beaumont, Texas, Tracy (Birdie) Praylor; one sister, Helen (Leon) Glover; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
