Gwenda "Lil Bit/Firecracker" Malveaux , 57, departed this life on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born on February 15, 1959, to Ester Mae Malveaux and the late John Baptiste Malveaux, Jr., in Lake Charles, LA.

She leaves to mourn her mother, Ester Malveaux; one daughter, Kia LaVergne; three sisters, Sharon (Michael) Guillory of Lake Charles, LA, Trena Smith of Lake Charles, LA and Marilyn (Charles) Avery of Lake Charles, LA; three grandchildren, Keyln LaVergne, Nia Thierry and Dallas Thibodeaux; one Godchild, Jordan Lavigne and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Malveaux, Jr.; one brother, Alvin Malveaux; one sister, Barbara Carmouche and one brother-in-law, Phillip Smith and one sister-in-law, Leanna Malveaux.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 12:30 p.m., and funeral service at 2:30 p.m., at King's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
