Hannah Gastile was born in Ville Platte, LA on April 3, 1929 to the parents of Eddie and Orelia Thomas, who preceded her in death. She was the youngest of four children: Edward Thomas and Wilford Thomas who preceded her in death; and leaves to cherish her memories one Sister, Evelyn Pete of Lake Charles, La., and two Brother-in Laws, Willie Pete of Lake Charles, La., and Voris Stephens of Ville Platte, La. She was married to Issac Gastile for over 40 years. Hannah worked in the Calcasieu Parish School Board. She was a faithful member of Messiah Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She had a love for children, dogs and crocheting. Hannah also loved traveling and camping in her RV. She relocated from Lake Charles to Cedar Hill, Texas in 2006 where she resided at Primrose of Cedar Hill. Hannah entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 6:56 P.M. She leaves to cherish six loving children: Harry "Robert" J. Stephens, Sr. (Catherine) of Baton Rouge, Eddie Stephens (Karen, Deceased) also of Baton Rouge, La., Dianna Ewing (Tommy) of Murphy, Tx., Mattie Stephens-Ford (Michael) of Cedar Hill, Tx., Joseph Stephens (Pam) of Sacramento, Ca., and Darrell Gastile (Wanda) of Chicago, Il. She was a proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
