Hazeline Williams Edwards , 79, departed this life on Friday, March 1, 2019, at Christus Lake Area Hospital in Lake Charles, LA following a brief illness. She was born October 30, 1939, to Ernest Williams, Sr., and Alice Lewis Williams in Ville Platte, LA.

Hazeline was dedicated to the Lord at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Hearnest Arvie and later under the leadership of Rev. Arthur Cullivan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Alice Williams, Sr; two brothers, Calvin Williams and Melvin Williams; one sister, Lena Ardoin; two sons, Michael Edwards and Steve Edwards and six grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy (Dorothy) Edwards of Beaumont, TX and Phillip (Angela) Edwards of Lake Charles, LA; three daughters, Geneva Edwards, Janella Horn and Patricia Caperton all of Lake Charles, LA; four brothers, Alvin Williams of Beaumont, TX, Ernest Williams, Jr., of Lake Charles, LA, Jeffery Williams of Ville Platte, LA and Oscar Williams of Lake Charles, LA; 29 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren; six Godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church, Rev. Arthur Cullivan, officiating. Burial will follow in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
