Helen Bushnell Morris , 66, departed this life on Friday, December 29, 2017, at her residence in Lake Charles, LA. She was born on May 10, 1951, to Willie Bushnell and Selestine Andrepont Bushnell in Sulphur, LA.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, McNair Bushnell of Houston, TX, George Morris and Ceory Nettles both of Lake Charles, LA; her companion, Aaron Dobson; her siblings, Rita Mae Thomas of Lake Charles, LA, Lillie Bushnell McKinney of Henderson, NV and Willa Mae Goodwin of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Damon Bushnell, Ceory Nettles, Jr., George Morris, Jr., Kameron Stevens, Samyah Perkins, Taryana and Aryana Bushnell and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Selestine Bushnell; her husband, George Morris; four sisters, Margie Simon, Lucille Carrier, Bertha Jean Bellard and Margie Simon and two brothers, McZeal Bushnell and Willis Bushnell.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., and funeral service on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Soileau, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
