Howard Hardy departed this life on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the age of 79 in Sulphur, Louisiana at home surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born on September 17, 1937, to the late Artiste Hardy, Sr and late Hazel Pappion Hardy in Hackberry, Louisiana.

Howard worked for Billy Navarre for many years until he retired. He later decided to go back to work as an Owner/Operator for Howard's Trucking. He married the love of his life, Joyce Guillory, on February 12, 1956, with whom he shared 61 wonderful years of marriage and of this reunion they had one child.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Joyce Hardy; one daughter, Loretta Hardy; two grandchildren, Valentine Hardy and Arthur Ray Vincent and 3 great grandchildren; Keelan, Dayshia and Sparkle all of Sulphur, LA; one brother, Larry Hardy of Dallas, TX; two sisters; Eathel Caroline of California and Dorothy Leday of Sulphur, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Artiste and Hazel Hardy and four brothers, Antoine, Paul Sr, Artiste Jr, and L'Dee Hardy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., and funeral service at 3:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.
