Hubert Lee "Ballzee" Robinson , 84, departed this life on Saturday, October 7, 2017. He was born August 18, 1933, in Carthage, TX, to the late Henry T. Gulley and the late Viola Robinson.

A native of Carthage, TX, he moved to Houston, TX in 1953. In the year of 1960, he was united in holy matrimony to Alfay Johnson and to this union they were blessed with three children, Sheronda Robinson, Laquetta Johnson and Hubert Charles Robinson. In 1961, he totally surrendered his life to Christ under the leadership of Rev. Charles Shaw-Miracle, House of Prayer.

As part of God's will, he was united in holy matrimony to Hilda T. Guillory in 1974. To this union they were blessed with three children, Donald Guillory, Charles Guillory and Dianna Guillory. He has resided in Lake Charles for the past 44 years.

He became a member of Family Baptist Church for the past 22 years under the leadership of Dr. Rev. Melvin Tezeno. He was employed with Brown & Root/Mid Valley, Inc., as the greatest truck driver ever for 40 years. He was a very unique and faithful servant. He always shared his wisdom and various life experiences as well as his knowledge about God with others who sought their way to the Christian walk.

Those who carry on this legacy of love are his children , Donald (Mary) Guillory, Charles (Tammy) Guillory, Sheronda Robinson and Dianna Guillory; Grandchildren, Brian, Brandon, Corey, Jonathan, Darius, Darrell, Charles Ray, Ronnie, Sheronda, Terrell, Sakima, Ajani, Charles, Jr., K'Leigh, Joy (Larry), Brittney and Bethany (Quincy); 38 great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Simmons, Dornell Toussand and Mary Tezeno; one brother-in-law, Dr. Rev. Melvin Tezeno and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hilda Robinson; one son, Hubert Charles Robinson; one daughter, Laquette Johnson; two brothers, Curtis and Clarence Robinsin; one sister, Bobbie Jean Robinson; two grandsons, Felton Watson, Jr. and Ajani (AJ) Guillory and one granddaughter, Carleigh Guillory.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Saints Memorial COGIC. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
