Mr. Ivan Gilbert Thomas, Sr. was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Jr. on May 2, 1932 in Roanoke, La. He attended Plaisance High school in Plaisance, La. Mr. Thomas was a truck driver for Dickie Boy Mayonnaise Company for many years. He also and other employees to include, Kelly Weber, also Woodbrook Enterprise until retirement.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Mary Rideaux Thomas on September12, 1953. In this union was born two sons and four daughters.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a wife, Mary Rideaux Thomas; four daughters, Deirdre Thomas, Leatitia Thomas, and Chalandra Gallien all of Lake Charles, La., and Andrea Jenkins of Houston, Tx.; two sons, Todd Thomas of Austin, Tx. and Ivan G. Thomas, Jr. of Lake Charles, La.; three sisters, Lillian Rivette and Ruby Nicholson both of Beaumont, Tx., and Sharon Thierry of Washington, La.; one brother, John Thomas, III and a dear sister-in-law Joyce Thomas both of Lake Charles, Joseph Thierry and Artie Nicholson; a dear friend, Betty Guillory, a dear, sweet niece who cared for Ivan during his time of illness, Sandra Thomas Joubert; twelve grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
