James Hill was born August 2, 1953 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was the son of Mrs. Rosalie Hill and the late Lee Taft Hill. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He loved wrestling, watching sports events, playing bingo and being with his nephews.

Survivors include his mother Rosalie Hill; three sisters Rose Mary Perrodin (Fredrick), Patricia Boutte (Ralph), and Georgia Robertson (Jackie) of Lake Charles, Louisiana; three brothers Michael Hill of Houston, Texas, Carl Hill and Lionel all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and a host of nephews and nieces, and his soul mate Jackie Lutcher.

He was preceded in death by his father Lee Taft Hill and brother Charles Lee Hill, his nephew Jeffery Veazea and his great nephew Julian Brockington.

Visitation will be held on January 23, 2012, at 8:30 a.m., at King's Funeral Home and funeral service at 10:00 a.m ., at St. Henry Catholic Church, Monsignor Torres, officiating.
