James Horn, Sr, 79, was born to the late Jessie and Julia Campbell Horn, Sr. on March 21, 1933 in Epes, AL. He departed this earthly life on November 26, 2012. He grew up in Birmingham, AL. He was a United States Army Veteran, A Vietnam Veteran purple heart recipient and Bronze Star. He was baptized at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church under the late Rev. Harvey Lawson. He married Lorina Robinson in 1960 and six children of this union. He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson; Terrance, one sister, and five brothers. She leaves to cherish his memories; his loving and caring wife; Lorina Horn, three daughters; Monica Horn, Michelle Horn both of Lake Charles, LA, Marilyn Harris of Birmingham, AL, three sons; James (Janella) Horn Jr, Joel (Maladai) Horn of all of Lake Charles, LA, Jonathan (Tangela) Horn Sr of Louisville, KY, one grandson who he raised as his own; Christopher (Kim) Horn of Lake Charles, LA, his godchild; Shonna Sonnier of Elton, LA, four brothers; Jessie Horn Jr, Ronald (Mary) Horn, Levi (Lala) Horn, Ray Horn, five sisters; JoAnn (Ben) Moore, Sara Henley, Marsella (Eldrick) Horn, Ethel (Frank) Myers, Debra (Huey) Hudson, two brother-in-laws; Eugene (Leola) Robinson Sr of Lake Charles, LA, Lester (Evelyn) Robinson of Shreveport, LA, two sister-in -laws; Gertude Smith of Port Arthur, TX, Louella (Paul) Cason of Lebanon, TN; 21 grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
