James Clement Poullard, Sr., 74, departed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at his residence in Lake Charles, LA.  He was born October 17, 1946, to Ernest Poullard and Marilyn Jackson Holmes in Lake Charles, LA.  He worked 16 years as an operator in public works for the City of Lake Charles until his retirement in 2006.  He served his country in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one Campaign Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device and Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Linda Poullard; children, James (Edith) Poullard of California, Kimberly Poullard and Dana Poullard both of Lake Charles, LA, Earl (Desiree) Brooks of Texas, Charles (Natasha) Brooks of Sulphur, LA, Latasha Brooks of Georgia and Jimmy (Crystal) Brooks of Lake Charles, LA; siblings, Rachel Gee of Chesapeake, Virginia, Agnes Poullard of Houston, TX and Sandra Thomas of Lafayette, LA; 23 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Poullard and Marilyn Jackson Holmes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., and funeral service at 11:30 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.
