James "JT" Darrell Thomas departed this life on June 11, 2026, at the age of 57. He was born in Lake Charles, LA on August 2, 1968, to the union of Annie Mae Carriere and Marion Joseph Thomas.

Beyond the cab of his truck, James was a devoted brother, a loyal friend, and the anchor to his family. When he was not behind the wheel, he loved barbecuing and watching sports, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He is remembered for his infectious laugh and generous spirit, always ready to lend a hand or share a story. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories.

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Carolyn Thomas; children, Destiny Thomas of Manhattan, New York, Jennifer Thomas of Antioch, Tennessee, and Bethany Celestine of Houston, Texas; parents, Marion and Annie Thomas; brother; Micheal Thomas (Mechelle) of Rancho Cucamonga, California; sisters; Carla Thomas (Kevin) of New Iberia, Louisiana and Melissa Thomas of Fort Worth, Texas; and Gracie, his beloved four legged friend.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at King's Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until the start of service at 11:00 AM.
