Janet Marie Breaux was called to her heavenly home, on Friday, April 20, 2018, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She was born to the union of Frances Eva LeBlanc and Clarence James Breaux Sr., however, in 1973 her second father/daddy, Robert LeBlanc, entered her life until her death. She was born December 19, 1964 in Lake Charles, La.
Janet Marie Breaux attended Jackson Street Elementary, Molo Junior High, Rosteet Junior High, W.O. Boston High School, McNeese State University, ACT Travel School and Ned's Future Barber College-Cosmetology. She was employed at Regis Salon and Walmart Salon, not to mention, self-employed as a Barber and Beautician. In addition, she was employed at Isle Capri, Delta Downs and L'Auberge Casino until her declining health.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Maggie Lee Lacaze Vercher and Frank Vercher; paternal grandparent, Sarella Breaux; one great-grandmother, Anita Shinette; four uncles, Paul Ray Duplechain, Cleve Vercher Sr., Hillary Jackson Sr. and Malbert J. Lewis Jr.; one great uncle, Joseph Shinette and one aunt, Mable Vercher Duplechain; and two first cousins, Gary Jackson and Darryl Jackson.
Those celebrating her life, legacy and cherishing her memory are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert LeBlanc; one grandmother, Mildred LeBlanc; one son, Darius Giovanni Breaux; two daughters, Janita Frances Breaux and Marlana Lucy Etienne; one brother, Clarence James Breaux Jr.; two sisters, Madeline Breaux Guillory and Barbara Faye LeBlanc; one grandson, Jaiden Devon Breaux; three nephews, Desmond Lee Guillory, Justin Lee Guillory and Micah Joshua LeBlanc and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, friends, members of the 1982 graduating class of W.O. Boston High School and members of the Barber Union.
She will always be remembered as a dedicated, strong, loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home, Pastor Charles Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
