Jared DeMarcus Guillory, 35, departed this life on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. He was born on October 15, 1989, to John and Margaret Fontenot Guillory in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Jared was educated in the public school system of Calcasieu Parish and worked as a truck driver for First Source Trucking Company. His hobbies included spending time with family, motorcycle riding, making people laugh, sharing joy, and cooking. Boy, did he love to cook!

He was preceded in death by his angelic nephew, Javen Washington, paternal grandparents Wilfred Sr. and Theresa Guillory and maternal grandparents, Ray B and Glories Fontenot. Also meeting him in heaven are his aunts, Zoway Guillory, JoAnn Reed, and Catherine Guillory; his uncles, Richard Guillory, Micheal Guillory, Wilfred Guillory, Jr., Clarence Fontenot, Marcelle Fontenot, Joseph Fontenot, and Augusta Goodley; and cousins Michael Booker, Onezime Gobert, J.O. Fontenot, Londyn Rae Rozier, Surre Fontenot, and Derrick Bellard.

Jared leaves to cherish his memories his children, Damani Miller and Jazzlynn Guillory, his parents, John Hillary and Margaret Guillory, his two brothers, John Andre (Chelsea) Guillory of Lake Charles, and Dr. Joseph (Dr. Katherine) Guillory of Dallas, Texas, his dear friend Jennie January, and bonus children Jakeim Hardin and Joshua Hardin, Jr.

Visitation services for Jared will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10am-12:30pm at King's Funeral Home. A family rosary will be held at 9:30am. Funeral will be at 1:00pm at St. Henry Catholic Church, followed by burial in Sacred Heart #2 Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
