Jeffery Edwards , 84, departed this life on Friday, July 10, 2020, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He was born April 4, 1936, to Lamar and Rozetta Edwards in Ville Platte, LA. He was self-employed as a paint and body worker. He was a member of Union Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Joseph Bernard where he served as a deacon and the male chorus.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Jimmy (Dorothy) Edwards of Beaumont, TX, Geneva Edwards, Janella Horn, Patricia Caperton and Phillip (Angela) Edwards all of Lake Charles, LA; his siblings, Ethel Frank of Beaumont, TX, Leatrice Wilson of Ville Platte, LA, Anna Bell Richard of Mamou, LA and Arris Edwards of Ville Platte, LA; 29 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Rozetta Edwards, two sons, Michael Edwards and Steve Edwards; his wife, Gussie Edwards, ex-wife, Hazeline Edwards, and eight brothers and sisters.

A walk-up window visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., and a Graveside Service at Combre Memorial Park.
