Jeffery Alexander Grier , our beloved brother, passed away on Wednesday, August 11 at the age of 33, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Jeffery was born  July 2, 1988 to the late Charlene McClinton-Rutledge and Jeffery Young.

Jeffery was a cashier at McDonalds and he loved his job and the people he served.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Charlene McClinton-Rutledge, daughter Charlene Grier, and grandmother Gwendolyn Grier.

He leaves to cherish his memories, five children: Levi, Jeffery, Anira, Aurora, and Logan Grier. Five siblings: Thomas Grier (Lake Charles, LA), Breawne Grier-Middlebrooks (San Antonio, TX), James Devost (Dallas, TX), Andre Devost (North Chicago, IL), and Jazzmiin Taylor (Lake Charles, LA).

A memorial service, open to the public, will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2pm at First New Life Missionary Baptist Church located at 311 S. First Avenue in Lake Charles. A private repast will be held immediately following service for family only.
