“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” - Psalm 34:18
With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we celebrate the life of Jermaric Terez Andrus, who departed this life on July 6, 2026, at the age of 27. While our hearts are broken by his passing, we are forever grateful for the blessing of having him in our lives.
Born on November 12, 1998 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Andrea Sharmaine Bordelon and Christopher Terez Andrus. Jermaric was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, godson, and friend. He was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and warm smile that could brighten anyone’s day. He never hesitated to help someone in need and would often give his last to those he loved. His compassion, infectious laughter, and genuine love for people made him unforgettable.
Jermaric attended Lake Charles College Prep, LaGrange High School, and Barbe High School before proudly graduating from Parkview Baptist School in 2020. He later worked in the kitchen at Steamboat Bill’s and Casa Mañana Restaurant, where he was known as a dependable and hardworking employee. His strong work ethic and willingness to help others reflected the character he carried throughout his life. Jermaric attended Living Way Pentecostal Church and Refuge Temple, where he worshipped and was surrounded by a loving church family.
One of Jermaric’s greatest passions was helping others repair and improve their credit. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and took pride in helping people build a better future. In his spare time, he loved listening to music, playing basketball, and spending quality time with his family. Those who knew him will forever remember the joy, laughter, and love he brought into their lives.
To know Jermaric was to know kindness, laughter, and unconditional love. His smile could light up any room, and his generous heart touched the lives of everyone he met. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on forever.
Jermaric was preceded in death by his beloved brother; Jyren Broussard, maternal grandfather; Claude Winters, and paternal grandfather; Ruban Favors.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory; his loving mother, Andrea Green and his bonus father, James Green, his loving father; Christopher Andrus and his bonus mother; Rosa Andrus. He is also survived by his siblings; Ja’Mya Andrus, Kylin Andrus, Kayzlon Andrus, Jalah Bordelon, and Waylynn Bordelon, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and Christen Andrus and Mia Fuller, both of New Jersey. Also left to cherish his memory, maternal grandmother; Roxanna Bordelon, paternal grandmother; Mable Andrus of Lake Charles, Louisiana, godparents; Jennifer Williams and Julius Lambert of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two beloved nieces; Journee Kay Andrus and Ka’Mari Jade Bordelon, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that the love Jermaric shared will never fade. His kindness, generosity, laughter, and beautiful smile will continue to live on in every heart he touched. His legacy of compassion, strength, and unconditional love will forever remain with all who were blessed to know him.
Forever Loved. Forever Missed. Forever in Our Hearts.
