John Earl Boutte , 83, departed this life on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. He was born July 31, 1934, to the late Lucille and Preston Boutte in Cankton, LA.

He was a very compassionate man who loved his family and who never met a stranger. He was employed at Local 207 in Lake Charles, LA where he retired. He was an avid bingo player and neighborhood watchman. He loved to say his rosary, watch his old western movies, play the lottery, and chew his cigars.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of 65 years Joyce Boutte; one brother, Michael (Veronica) Boutte; two sisters, Bertha Mae (Will) Perkins and Rita (Rayford) Mouton.; two daughters, Barbara (Frank) Adam and Constance (Gerard) Bellard; two sons, John Herman Boutte and John Earl (Colleen) Boutte Jr.; six grandchildren, Kilinda (Aaron) Bellow, Fredrika Boutte, Naqueeta (Seumas) Boutte, Jonathan Adam, Kimberly (Keeland) Flagg, Earlisha (Corey) Charles and Jerome (Gabrielle) Jason; 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Preston Boutte; three brothers, Joseph RD Boutte, Berchman Boutte, and Joseph P. Boutte; and one sister, Sylvia Boutte.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., at King's Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Father Tim Goodly, officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Mausoleum under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
