John Earl Cole , 66, departed this life on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  He was born October 28, 1953, to Elmo Steverson Cole and Maxine McMahon Cole in Pineville, LA.  He worked for Citgo Petroleum and drove trucks for Kingery's Trucking until his retirement.  He loved fishing and hunting with his buddies.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Celia "Sally" Cole of Oberlin, LA; two daughters, Karleen Cole-Robinson and Erikka Cole both of Eunice, LA; one brother, Charles Cole (Cathy) of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren, Kedric Cole, Karshaun Cole, Rihanna Guillory, Hailey Robinson, Jonus Godeau, Darell Reed, Jr., and Derek Ross and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Maxine Cole; his brothers, Christopher James Cole, Lenard Cole, Don Edward Cole, his only sister, Beverly Ann Cole and one grandson, Dedrick Cole.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Progressive COGIC, 712 8 ^th Street, Oberlin, LA.  Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery on Harmon Road in Kinder, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
