John "Ricky" Hillary Guillory, 67 of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away at home on Friday, June 5, 2026. He was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, on November 1, 1958, to the union of Wilfred Guillory Sr. and Theresa Jordan. On the first of May in 1982, Ricky married the love of his life, Margaret Ann Fontenot, with whom he shared forty-four years of matrimony. Ricky worked at Agriculture Power Plant in Machine Maintenance for forty-one years. For the past three years, Ricky enjoyed retirement. He also spent his time as a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Lodge.
Ricky enjoyed carpentry work, praying the Rosary, hunting, fishing and playing cards. He was an excellent cook and was known for his "sauce". Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by both parents; his son, Jared D. Guillory; sisters, Catherine Guillory, Zoway Guillory and JoAnn Reed; brothers, Wilfred Guillory Jr., Richard Guillory, and Micheal Guillory, as well as brothers-in-law that he loved as brothers.
Left to cherish the memories of Ricky includes his devoted wife, Margaret Guillory; his sons, John Andre Guillory Sr. and Dr. Joseph (Dr. Katherine) Guillory; sisters, Alberta Fontenot, Diane (Morris) Tate, Joyce (Jamar) Goodly, Margaret (Henry) Ardmendis, Norma Jean Guillory, Mary Eldean (Randy) Guillory, Marla (James) Citizen, and Manella (Lawrence) Bias; brothers, Bishop Curtis Guillory, Carey Guillory, and Ronald Guillory; grandsons; John Andre Guillory Jr., Jeremy Wyatt, Jy'ace Guillory, Damani Miller, Leon Curtis Guillory, and Gabriel Guillory; and granddaughter, Jazlynn Guillory.
Visitation will be held at King's Funeral Home on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Rosary will begin at 8:30 AM, led by Deacon Eljay Bushnell. Funeral Service Mass will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery #2, all under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
