John Landry Jr was born March 10, 1954, to Myrtis and John Landry, Sr, he passed on May 25,2023 at the age of 69. He has won the battle against cancer and is now resting with the Lord.

John was the epitome of what the Bible says about a man and his family; he was a provider and protector.  He exuded kindness always in his Godly manner without hesitation. He worked hard for over 45 years and was usually found with a big, beautiful smile on his face. He could easily make someone laugh with his unique since of humor. If you were ever in need of some good and sound advice, he was willing to listen and do his best to help you in your time of need. He had a great love for horses and in his down time he could be found watching western shows.

John was ordained a deacon in 1978 and remained a faithful member of Refuge Temple for over 45 years

John was preceded in death by his father John Landry Sr, mother, Myrtis Thomas, stepfather Charles Thomas, brother Freddie Thomas and sisters Debbie, Sara and Andrea Landry.

John leaves to  cherish his  life  and love,  his wife of over 51 years Irma Landry; 8 children, Chad Senegal (Pamela), Lisa Landry Johnson, John Landry III, Melinda King (Travis), Sarah Landry Green (Darryl),Kathy Landry Walker, Joshua Landry (Christine)and Jason Landry (Tina); 3 sisters Crescentia Landry, Mary Landry and Shirley Eagins, 2 brothers Mark Thomas(Josephine)and Eddie Thomas (Patricia) and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
