John Merrick Malveau departed this life on Saturday, August 23, 2014 in his residence at the age of 49. He was born in Lafayette to Mr. and Mrs. Lucius Malveau. He was a graduate of Lagrange High School and worked for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Department for many years. He leaves to mourn his memories; his fiancee, Elma Jenise of Lake Charles, La; two brothers; Batmas( Vina) LeDay Jr., of Westlake, LA and Allen LeDay of Spring, TX., two sisters; Sara Malveau(Anthony)Drake , Darnell LeDay both of Lake Charles, La., especially Lucius, Nikolas and Kameron who he stepped in and helped raised as his own as well as other family members and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents; Mr. and Mrs. Lucius Malveau and one brother; Warren James Malveau and sister Deborah Ann Malveau.
