John Rougeau, 89, of Lake Charles, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2013 following a brief illness. Mr. Rougeau was born in a rural area near Basile and resided in Lake Charles since 1954. He was an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Peter Claver. Mr Rougeau is survived by his wife of seventy-one years, Laura Lartigue Rougeau; his son, Weldon J. Rougeau (Shirley Day) of Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren; Michael R. Bellow of Oakland, CA, Vincent D. Rougeau (Robin Kornegay) of Weston, MA, Dominique F. Rougeau and John M. Rougeau of Chicago, IL; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Jessie Mae (Andrew) Reder, and a brother Joseph M. Rougeau (Leola) of Lake Charles, and numerous nieces and nephews.
