Johnnie Reed, Jr., 84, departed this life on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Calcasieu Community Care Center in Lake Charles, LA.  He was born October 29, 1939, to Johnnie Reed, Sr., and Leona Moore Reed in Cameron, LA.  He worked at PPG Industries until his retirement.  He loved going to bingo, fishing and duck hunting.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 61 years, Elsie Jean Reed of Lake Charles, LA; one son, Kenneth Wayne Reed of Aledo, TX; one brother, Herman Jennings Reed of Lake Charles, LA; three grandchildren, Braill Alexandria Reed, Johnnie Trainer Reed and Elsie Elizabeth Reed and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Leona Reed; six brothers, Clevland Reed, Levene Reed, Gilbert Reed, Joseph Reed, Tommy Reed and Sammy Reed; three sisters, Bertha White, Selena Reed and Margaret Reed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., and funeral service at 12:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in St. Martin de Porres Cemetery, Cameron Parish, LA.
