Jose Paul Delafosse was born on February 17, 1963, to the late Earl James Delafosse, Sr. and the late Barbara Ann Delafosse. He went to meet his Lord, several family members, and loved ones at the age of 62 on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Jose was baptized as an infant at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and was often found worshipping at St. Henry Catholic Church in Lake Charles.

Jose was a happy, loving, and caring man. He would give you his last, even his meal if he knew you needed it. One thing about him, he knew the Scriptures out of the Bible and was not afraid to share the Word with others.

He leaves to cherish his siblings, three brothers: Randy James Delafosse, Earl (Jay) James Delafosse, Jr., and Jerome Delafosse, Sr.; his one and only sister, Erica D. Lartigue, and other relatives, and friends. He will be especially missed by his friends at Exxon, Steamboat Bills, and Checkers Restaurant.

A Celebration of his life will be held starting with family and friend visitation on Thursday, August 7, at 3pm. A memorial service will follow at 4pm in King's Funeral Home Chapel. A burial at a later date will be held in the Delafosse Cemetery in Beaver, Louisiana.
