Joseph H. Beverly , 78, was born on March 9, 1937, in Maxie La., to the late Daniel S. Beverly, Sr., and Eva Coleman Beverly.  On January 27, 1962, he was united in holy matrimony to the late Alice Marie White.  The Lord found favor on this couple and blessed them with a baby boy, Bryan Eugene Beverly.

He retired from the Port of Lake Charles as a plumber and pipefitter.

He was a member of Merrick Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for fifty years.

On Friday, October 2, 2015, at 6:45 a.m., he departed this life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, five brothers, Rev. Daniel Sherman Beverly, Jr., August Beverly, George Beverly, Sr., Landolph Beverly and Aaron Beverly; seven sisters, Grace Jackson, Viola Babineaux, Elizabeth Green, Mary Johnson, Lillie B. Roberts, Georgie Beverly and Annie Julian.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Bryan Eugene Beverly of Lake Charles, La; two sisters, Eva Guillory of Texas City, TX, and Lettie Curtis of Port Arthur, TX; his nephew, Wallace Levings and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.

His funeral will be on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Reeves Temple C.M.E., Rev. Dr. H. Leon Williams, Sr., Presiding Elder.  The eulogy will be given by Rev. W. K. Rucker.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart mausoleum under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
