Joseph "Cezo" Guidry
was born on January 12, 1931 in Church Point, LA to Ceasar Guidry and Marcella Bellard Guidry. As a young man he moved to Lake Charles and began his life with his family. He married Stella Bellard Guidry, and to this union was born eleven children. "Cezo" was self employed as a Cement Finisher constructing foundations for homes and businesses for over 50 years. He was known for his hard work and dedication to his love of collecting "Valuable Junk". "Cezo" was well known and liked in the community; for he never met a stranger. Mr. Joe was a faithful and honorable member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and a faithful usher and custodian at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Chapel. His affiliations were the Knights of Peter Claver #141, and Head Usher at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ceasar and Marcella Guidry, his son Ricky Guidry, six brothers and three sisters.
He leaves to mourn his death, his wife Stella Bellard Guidry, his children, Shirley Guidry and Kathleen Candler both of Shreveport, LA, Jerry Ann (Ivory) Vital, Joseph L. Guidry, Linda (Lumus) Semien, Ronald (Johnnie Marie) Guidry, Anthony (Julie) Guidry, and Matthew (Anna) Jacobs all of Lake Charles, LA. Gwen (Otis) Ambrose, Monette Guidry Edwards, Michael Guidry, Theresa (George) Washington all of Houston, Tx and; two sisters Wilma Durouso and Anita Guidry both of Lake Charles, LA; twenty-nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, a host of relatives, friends and a long time friend, Irma Goodly. "Cezo" will certainly be missed by many but not forgotten!
